These are pictures of us in Hawaii, the island of Oahu. We spent a lot of time at the beach. Derik and Joey loved riding the waves on the body boards.

After a couple of days of practice, Derik was able to stand and balance on the board. He said he was ready for surfing!!

Derik loved being with the hula girls. Joey was a little shy!

We took a dinner cruise and had an awesome view of Wikiki and all the resorts.

We all enjoyed the views and watching the waves crash.

We went to a luau and ate a lot!!

These banyon trees are cool!! The boys loved climbing around on them.

We visited the Dole Plantation and learned about local crops and enjoyed the fresh pineapples. Thanks to Keith traveling and working so hard, we get to enjoy these trips!!

Welcome to the island! We visited family in South Bend, NE. Derik and Joey
had so much fun playing with their cousins, Jack and Sedona! Here they are hangin out
at the lake!

Jack and Sedona are introducing Derik and Joey to the four wheelers!

Joey really enjoyed holding his new cousin, Marina!

Derik enjoying his time holding Marina!

John took the kids for a ride in the boat! Derik yelled,
"Let it rip!"

Keith and John having a business meeting.

We all went out for breakfast before we left town, Thanks for a fun
weekend!! We had a great time.

Joey and Uncle Brian
We had a nice visit at Anita and Brian's house!

Derik and Joey with Aunt Connie!

Derik and Joey with Aunt Anita
Next we went outside Sioux City to visit Patty on the farm. The boys were
very excited to ride the lawn mowers.
Derik and Grandpa riding around the farm.

Our visit with Patty and Grandpa!
The boys found a cool tractor to climb on.
Derik and Joey were very excited to fish with Grandpa. We met him at a lake
and Derik and Keith caught two rainbow trout.
Derik was so excited about his fish, he started to cry when we told him that we would
have to throw him back in the water. We couldn't get the hook out of the fish
so the fish died, Derik named him, "floater". He played with the dead fish for
about two hours before he finally threw him away.
Joey was able to throw back the other fish before it died, he named that one, "swimmer".

Thanks for taking us fishing Grandpa and Daddy!!

Here we are having lunch at Grammy Grant's house.

Keith didn't forget me on Valentine's day! He sent me Roses. Thanks Keith!

Uncle Larry took me and the boys to an ice sculpting contest. The boys thought this was very cool. We would have stayed longer but it was only 10 degrees!

Thanks Uncle Larry for teaching me how to make crust for my apple pie! Yummy!

We had a lot of fun at Aunt Sarah and Uncle Larry's house. Today we had a lot of fun with all the snow and went sledding.

Papa Paul took the boys on a walk to find evidence of the black bog.

Aunt Sarah always had hot chocolate for the boys!

Visit to South Portland

We continued our trip in South Portland where we visited Aunt Jean, Aunt Sue and Aunt Marge

I love sharing a traditional, oily italian sandwich with Aunt Marge and Dad as we share stories.

Covered Bridge

I love this classic NE scenery. We walked across the covered bridge, and threw a few snowballs.
