We started off preparing for Christmas by making white chocolate bark for the family. The boys were really helpful this year. Their favorite part was using the hammer to crush the candy canes.

After they crushed the candy, they used the shifter to get all the fine crumbs out.

Each year we have a tradition of going to the Denver Zoo to see the Christmas lights. The entire zoo is covered in lights!

Ofcoarse the boys loved the elk lights!

Next it was time to make Christmas cookies with some friends. The recipe was suppose to make several dozen cookies but for some reason we came home with only a few cookies and the boys didn't eat the rest of the day. I wonder what happened.

Joey could not have enough sprinkles on his cookies!

Next, we decided to take the boys ice skating. Joey didn't care for the skates but he did like getting pulled around on the little sled.
Derik loved ice skating and seemed to pick it up really quick.

Derik did learn the ups and downs of skating. Every time he fell he just got right back up and tried again.

Well it is now Christmas eve and the boys put a brownie out for Santa. They also put the reindeer food out that their Auntie Kathy sent. They were great fun this year and well deserve a great Christmas. We are looking forward to 2008!
